About

The International Paint Recycling Association (IPRA) is an association of nine North American recycled paint manufacturers with decades of experience in recycling post-consumer paint back into high quality paint and other recycled products.

IPRA was founded by a group of independent recycled paint manufacturers to educate the public about the benefits of recycled latex paint. We are a collection of private companies and government agencies that promote the industry by increasing public awareness about the benefits of recycled paint, working on legislative issues that affect the industry, and keeping membership informed of important developments. Additionally, our goal is to reduce paint-related waste and promote environmental sustainability.

IPRA is the first and only organization dedicated to serving and actively promoting the recycled paint industry, including the essential role that recycled paint manufacturers play in the circular economy for architectural paint.

The group is facilitated by the Product Stewardship Institute (PSI), a national organization that conceived, co-founded, and developed IPRA in collaboration with recycled paint manufacturers in 2019.
